Datia Ben Dor [born in 1944] – authoress, screenwriter, playwright, poetess, composer, and multimedia artist. Among her many children’s literary gems are Datia’s Book of Nonsense Rhymes [Sefer HaShtuzim Shel Datia] and the Yoyo series. Ben Dor wrote songs and screenplays for popular children’s television shows, among them Parpar Nechmad and the Israeli version of Sesame Street.

Avner Katz [1939–2020] – Israeli painter, illustrator and author. Katz has illustrated numerous children’s books, some of which he also wrote. He has won awards for his works. Katz designed the character of Kippi, the huge hedgehog that starred on the Israeli version of Sesame Street. He taught art for many years, and was a prolific artist in a range of techniques and areas
