The rabbit receives a bag of seeds from his grandmother. He wants to plant them in his garden with his mother, but on his way home, he gives some to a hungry bird, a scared snail, and a hedgehog, until even the bag itself is gone. What will his mother say when he returns empty-handed? And what surprise awaits him on the path? This is a beautiful story about generosity, and seeing others.
Age Group: Preschool (3-5)
Giving from the heart creates a cycle in which the good deed is repaid to the giver – when the rabbit shares the seeds he received from his grandmother with the animals along the way, he does so out of generosity and compassion. However, when the wind scatters the remaining seeds, he experiences great difficulty. Only later will he discover that his giving had spread goodness to all,and has come full circle to fill him with delight.
A man may give freely, and still his wealth will be increased
