A Fight with A Broom

By: Oded Burla • Illustrations: Yaniv Shimony

A mischievous boy fights with everyone: with other children, with animals, and even with objects. One day he starts a fight with a broom, and you’ll never guess what happens - the broom gives as good as it gets! With a light touch and in an entertaining manner, the story describes the way children feel when they are caught up in an argument or a fight, and reminds us that despite everything, we can always reconcile and patch things up.

Age Group: Preschool (3-5)

Anger, joy, laughter and agitation – children are overwhelmed with many emotions throughout the day. When they are angry, the are downright mad, and when they are happy, they rejoice. A Fight with a Broom allows children to see their feelings with a smile, understand that we all experience unpleasant feelings just as they do, and discover how to cope with them using humor.

Sometimes – wonderful things happen to me
Sometimes – pretty bad things happen too
Sometimes – it’s nice
Sometimes – it’s fun
Sometimes – it’s annoying – but only sometimes.
